Trick-or-Treat!

Happy Halloween!

We carved pumpkins on Wednesday night and the kids LOVED it! Although they didn't love the guts, they sure did enjoy the finished product. We then had an AWESOME time trick-or-treating.
Before we dug in! He wanted to wear the apron that Grandma Barnes made so he wouldn't get dirty. He thought he was hot stuff.

Haha! I told her to smile for the camera and this is what I got...

She really does eat anything that is put in front of her.
Slade with his carved pumpkin. He called it the Scary Guy Face.

Outside posing with the pumpkins. Daisy's is a moon with three bats. It kinda broke, but my handy husband fixed it and you can't even tell!

Costumes!! Daisy was a Fairy and broke her wand within minutes. But she did love her tutu, sparkly shoes, sparkly wings and her necklace. Slade was Spiderman!! He would shoot webs at everyone that walked by.
The first stop. Slade thought he was supposed to go inside and was terribly confused. Daisy saw the candy and didn't want it in her pumpkin, but rather in her mouth at that moment. It didn't take long before they got the hang of it.
Daisy being the brave one and knocking at a scary house.

Ahh! Vampires! Slade loved those teeth but didn't get the concept of not drooling, and drooled all over himself!

Daisy showing off her goodies. She had that sucker pretty much from the beginning and most of it ended up on her shirt.
Slade showing off his loot. He was quite happy with what he got and wouldn't even share with me! Little does he know, he won't be able to find his candy filled pumpkin in the morning!! Haha!
We had a great Halloween and the kids really enjoyed themselves. Slade and I went thru a small haunted entry way that terrified him last year, but this year he kept telling me that the scary guys were not real and that they are nice. He did great and I'm so grateful for that! Daisy had no problem with the scary stuff and enjoyed trick-or-treating. Skylar wasn't able to join us because he was working, but he was able to see them in costume a few times before when we went to parties. I hope everyone had a wonderful and safe Halloween!

Baby Update #4

23 week belly!

I went in for another appointment today and everything looks great! She has a strong heart and is moving around like she should be. I've been concerned about how I am NOT showing like I normally have in the past and my doctor told me this: My placenta is very low, my uterus is tilted toward my back, and she is measuring a little small. He just told me its different this time and that happens. He is absolutely not concerned. I did gain 2 pounds since the last appointment, so that is a good sign. He did say that if I wasn't gaining weight, or losing weight, he would have some concerns, but all is well! He anticipates that I will deliver early again just because of how early Daisy was, but we are praying that I will be able to make it full term. I'm excited for my next appointment because we will be seeing the ultrasound in 3D! So...until next time!

Let's Go Fly a Kite...

Grandma Stock gave the kids a kite and Slade has been bugging us to go fly it, so we decided to give it a try yesterday afternoon because there was a nice breeze. We headed over to the greenbelt by our house and Skylar tried teaching Slade how to fly the kite. After a few tries, Slade gave up and handed the kite back to Skylar. Skylar was determined to make the thing fly, so he would run and the kite would take to the air, but it would then just go in circles and crash to the ground. He had it going good at one point but it wasn't windy enough to keep it up for very long but he ran around anyway and, don't ask me how, but it ended up hitting me in the eye!! I was blind with tears for a while and at that point Skylar decided he was done trying to get the thing to fly. By this time, Slade had noticed the park not too far away and wanted to go play there instead. It ended up being really fun afternoon regardless the eye injury.

Random Fun, Halloween Party and a Tag!

What a fun week!

We went to an adult Halloween Party on Saturday night which was SO fun! Skylar was a hunter and I dressed up as a deer. At the party, they had a scavenger hunt (which we both hadn't done for a LONG time) and we teamed up with the Boretsky's and ended up winning!!

My sister Kendyl, and her husband, Tyler were hilarious! They went as bullriders!!

Slade wanted us to wear his "masks" and they were so small on us! I couldn't even open my right eye because it was so tight!

Oh boy! He really wants a toolbelt like his friend Cale, but since he doesn't have one, he had to improvise! LOL!

Daisy, of course, decided she needed a toolbelt too!

I am happy to say that my kids like to brush their teeth! They have to do it themselves, then I tell them I have to check for sugarbugs that they may have missed!

Daisy pushing Slade and cousin Bostyn. Too funny!

Oh, our sweet Daisy. She is so much fun! Well, for me anyway. Skylar can only handle so much girl! We have fun playing with makeup together and doing hair and playing with babies. She doesn't want to wear anything unless I tell her its pretty! Is that teaching her how to be vain too young?? :)

Our boy, Slade. He is very much a boy, but does enjoy playing with babies ever so often... He has started to not like his picture being taken, but would rather take the pictures! He likes showing off new bugs that he has found, being silly, working outside with Dad, making cookies with me, and testing our patience. He is almost three and loves when we tell him he is a big, awesome boy! I can't believe he will be a Sunbeam in January! Kids grow up too fast!

Camping in Pine

We had a wonderful weekend in Pine with Skylar's family! They traveled from Utah to meet us there and we had a blast! -We missed the Phelps though!

The first night we were there, we saw some Elk! There was a bunch of them and after they left, there were a few deer that came by also!

Grandma Stock showing Daisy how to blow the pin wheel.

Slade holding a lizard! I think it was dead at that point. He had so much fun finding bugs!

Slade holding on for dear life on the swing!

Eww! More bugs for Slade. Those are cicada shells, and they are SO much bigger than the ones we find by our house!

Saturday, we hiked down to the Tonto Natural Bridge and had a picnic. From left to right: Marlee, Lyndsay, Bostyn, Derek, Slade, Grandma Stock, Beau, Skylar, Daisy and Grandpa Stock.

Father and Son. I think Skylar looks a lot like his Dad and it's really cute how similar they are. They both have sunflower seeds in their mouths in this picture! Cute cheeks!

Marlee!! She is so good with the kids, they all LOVE her!

Slade with Uncle Beau! Slade loved being chased by Beau and following him around!

Skylar and Daisy as we hiked down to the falls. Grandpa and Grandma Stock in the background.

Father and daughter... She is such a daddy's girl!
Slade finally held still long enough for me to take a picture of him and he was pretending to be an animal in a cage...

Grandpa Stock and Slade

Marlee and Beau took Slade closer to the falls and they ended up getting wet!

Daisy sharing her sucker with Bostyn... Below, they were REALLY sharing the sucker!

Brothers! Beau and Skylar... I think Skylar was waving to Daisy and not the camera! Haha!

Grandpa Stock and Slade! Slade had to be with either Grandpa Stock or Beau at all times...

Daisy showing off Slade's hat!

Grandma Stock and Slade

The friendliest squirrel I have ever seen! It is also well fed!

The kids and the squirrel. They had sunflower seeds set out for it and we had them sit still so it would come close.

Slade probably had more fun with the squirrel than anything else!

Grandma Stock being a cheerleader! She did pretty well, too!

There are SO many more pictures from this trip, but I tried to choose the best ones. We really did have a lot of fun and hope to do it again. Thanks to Derek's family for the cabin's and the nice hot shower I was able to take every morning!! It was nice to get away and hang out with family we don't see as often as we would like. Thanks for a great weekend!
