Taylor

We had a great weekend up in Taylor with the Stock family and celebrated Pioneer Days! There are a bunch of pictures and they are all out of order, but you get the idea!

Skylar took me for a ride on a XRT golf car that he wants. Our brother in-law works at Apache Golf Cars and was able to snag a couple for the weekend for us to have fun on.

Stock Family Photo 2009! Boy have we grown since last year!

Skylar's grandparents. They live in a house that is 85 years old!

For some reason we can never get a good picture together... but at least we got one!

Grandkids with the grandparents! Slade, Cannon, Maddie, Maylee, Krew, Bostyn, Daisy and Kinley.

Slade with Uncle Beau.

This was her favorite spot to sit, right in the middle of the swing.

Maylee and Grandma Stock at the rodeo.

Cash Cow event they had at the rodeo. They invited all kids ages 8-12 years old onto the arena and had them chase a calf that had money stuck to it! Skylar's cousin came home with a little cash! The announcer had all the kids roll and army crawl in the dirt just to get them dirty!

Eating dinner with the cousins!

Playing games with the cousins.

Slade's favorite spot.

My mother in-law Cheryl, me and brother in-law Beau.

The kids couldn't get enough of the XRT's.

Daisy loved picking the grapes and currents off of Great Grandma's bushes.

Playing in the sprinkler's!

Grandpa Stock and Maylee. I absolutely love this picture!
We had so much fun up in Taylor! Erin, Marlee, Maddie and I also ran/walked in the 2 mile fun run they had on Saturday morning and then went to the parade later that morning. Slade collected all the candy while Daisy sat in his chair and ate whatever he brought back. Saturday was a busy day for us but we really enjoyed ourselves. My father in-law made his famous Fajita's for dinner and then it was off to the rodeo. Right after the rodeo finished, they had a nice fireworks show which was a lot of fun to be so close! Slade loved them while Daisy covered half of her face but didn't cry! I hope we can do it again next year!

Gobbles

Slade has been wanting goggles for a while now, and the other day I surprised him with his very first pair! He immediately put them on and went back to watching his movie...in his undies.

Of course I couldn't get Slade a pair and not Daisy! She was obviously excited. She has to pretend she doesn't like them until we aren't watching her and then she won't let them out of her sight. "Where are my gobbles, MOM!!?" Cry, cry, whine... Then she realizes they are on her head.

Moving on, we let the kids try out their new exciting accessory that night in our family pool. Okay, we don't all fit in the pool, but the kids love it. Slade's eyelashes touch the lenses but he doesn't care one bit!

I absolutley love this picture and laugh out loud everytime I see it. This just fits Daisy's personality so well.

Daisy told me later when I showed her this picture, that she was making a kissy face for the camera! What?! How does my 2 year old know how to make those faces in pictures?! Daisy said, "like Aunt Kendyl!"

He is such a goof.

Taking tuns jumping into the pool!

Daisy's turn!

Slade doing a big splash!

I'm happy to report that the goggles were a huge success. I love that little things like that make my kids happy.

FROG!

When I pulled into the drive way last night and opened the garage, this guy decided to hop right into my garage! I didn't know where he went, so I pulled in slowly and parked, then ran and got Skylar! He found him in the corner and was able to lure him outside. I ran and got the camera so I could show Slade the next morning and when I got back outside, the frog had decided to hop right back into the garage!

Skylar was able to capture it in this bucket. He was huge!! Although, Skylar informed me that he wasn't full grown yet and would become much bigger. Yuck!

Skylar let him go in a bush in our front yard "because he eats bugs" and now I am afraid to go out my front door. If any of you come to my front door, don't be surprised if you are met by a huge frog.
I know he looks small in this picture, but he's not! He was big and wet and ugly and probably smelly but I didn't get that close.
