These past two weeks have flown by for me! I am finally able to post today! Last Friday, the 9th, Slade turned 2! My neice Bostyn, was blessed two Sunday's ago, so my in-laws came down from Utah, and, being an 8 hour trip, we decided to have a combined birthday party with Slade and Kinley, my other neice, who will be one this weekend. Then, Slade had a Barnes side party on the Saturday after his birthday. He now sings Happy Birthday all the time and carries around his birthday cards and asks if he can go to a party. Anyway, I am helping Skylar get ready for his hunt that is coming up this month. He is going scouting this weekend, and then will be gone for 8 days hunting over Thanksgiving! And, I get to stay home. He is really excited, so I am also trying to be excited for him. It's hard, knowing he will be gone for so long. Hopefully he finds 'the big one' and comes home early. This is a little of what went on the past couple weeks...
Slade is doing quite well at the potty training stuff. He understands what to do, just not when to do it. For his birthday, I took him to McDonald's for lunch and as I was cleaning up the kitchen, he was still in his highchair saying "mom, bee poo poo!" I turned around to find his Happy Meal toy going poo poo in his chocolate milk jug.
This was my latest project. Skylar made me the frame, I painted it, put glass in it and ordered the vinyl from a lady in my ward. It turned out perfect! I love it. It is going in my nook on a wall that has been naked for about 9 months. By the way, it's huge. I tried hanging it, but it was too heavy for the several saw tooth hangers we put on it, so Skylar said he will have to use screws. That is why it is sitting on the floor.
We also made these two frames. We put them in a boutique this past weekend and sold both of them for $65! Yeah! It's a good feeling to know that other people will buy things that you have hand made.
This is my grandpa pushing Slade on the swings at his birthday party. My sister took all of the other pictures with her camera and I haven't gotten them yet, so this is it. He and my grandma are snow birds from Michigan. I believe this is their 12th year coming down. It is fun to have them still be able to play with their great grandkids.

Happy Birthday Slade! We had fun at your party... and can't wait to play with all your new fun toys!
K first love your new blog template thing. 2nd please dont hate me for not coming to Slade's birthday party. and 3rd i love love love your frames and the kitchen sign!!!! I want:) Oh and how in the world are you letting Skylar leave you for that long?!?! I would never let Dusty leave mostly because I would lose my sanity being by myself day in and day out for 8 days with my kids alone. Its amazing at how much I rely on him and need him:) You are a brave woman. Oh and I love that you and I are doing the potty training thing together. I will for sure have to call you! Talk to you soon. Wow this was long. sorry
Happy bid number 2 Slade!!! Kari love the new blog looks great. Also Those frames are awsome. I have a friend that makes those, I can't tell how big yours are but hers held a 16x20 and she sells them for 150-200$ each. I think you need to charge a little more, people will pay it too. They look great I have always wanted big frames like that, but don't have the talent to make or the money to buy them. I am glad potty training is going well. Brexton goes number 2 on the potty but he can't get why the liquid just comes out. He has no idea he is even peeing! So we will have to wait a while. Good luck!
Ella had a great time at Slade's party. He is growing up fast.
Happy birthday Slade! I can't believe it's been 2 years since he was born. Your blog looks way cute.
Your template is really fun! I thought that was really funny that his bee went to the bathroom in his milk! Ha! Kids are so funny! Good Luck with the potty training. I am going through it right now. It's not as bad as I thought it would be.
Kari, where did you find your template? My blog needs help. =)
Oh potty training.... I have no idea about that stuff. I don't even know when to get started, but i am pretty sure keilah is too young still. I didn't know your kids are as close as mine will be. That is good to hear that Slade was a great helper. How cute! I hope Keilah doesn't get too jealous of a little sister... BTW your frames and kitchen sign are awesome!
I had done a google search for my name... And found you guys! Merry Christmas, from my Stock family to yours! Skylar (yes Skylar Stock from Vancouver BC Canada)
