Lots to Blog About

My Maylee
Every time Daisy gets in trouble and is crying, she says that she needs, "My Maylee!" She will give her a kiss or a hug and then be fine. Maylee found her thumb a week ago Wednesday and since then she sleeps MUCH longer at night!

She is almost four months old and is finally growing out of some preemie clothes. Yay! She has rolled from her back to her belly once, and from her belly to her back three times as of right now. She is a very happy baby!

Slade scratched his ear somehow and decided it needed a band aid. He applied it all by himself.

FUN RICE! I was desperate to find an activity for the kids to do during the really hot time of the day, and I found this! It's called Fun Rice and it kept the kids busy for over an hour the first time they played with it.
1 cup rice
1 tsp. rubbing alcohol
food coloring
Mix together and let rice dry. Then, have fun!
I let the kids do the food coloring, so it does rub off on their hands a little bit. We made funnels, used utensils, cups and whatever else we could find to play with it.

Making her pink fun rice.
He had to have blue, like Spiderman.

Daisy showing off her new Tinkerbell hat!

Slade chose Spiderman, of course.
Our HOA hosted a Community Block Party on the 16th, and it was SO much fun! The kids loved it especially and it was nice to visit with neighbors. Skylar had to work but I took the kids anyway. Having two sisters in the same neighborhood really has its benefits!
Slade and Kleven showing off their balloon swords and holsters.

Daisy would eat all day long if I let her. She was given a few snacks from a neighbor and decided she wanted them all for herself. Instead of sharing with Lynnlee, she tried to hurry and stuff them all in her mouth!
The Rural Metro Fire Dept. showed up and squirted the kids with water. It makes me sad that Slade will someday be as big as those boys.
Slade loved getting sprayed by the water!
Daisy, not so much! She and I went to take pictures of Slade in the water but when the first shot of water came out, it got us!

They had this Velcro thingy too and Slade gave it a try!

So did Uncle Chris! He was trying to get all the way upside down, but that is the best he could do which was pretty neat.

Slade spent most of his time on this bouncy obstacle course.

I love his face in this picture!

RaNdoM:
This is pretty typical of what Daisy looks like after dinner. Food all over her face and usually in her hair, but this time she opted for milk in the hair instead. We have no idea why she can't eat normally.

"I like Jesus!"

cute cute cute!!! Maylee definitely looks like her brother and sister! So cute!

The rice thing was ingenious. I'm going to have to do that with Melanie when she is alittle bigger... while actually, she'd probably enjoy it now. So smart!
