6 Thing You Don't Know About Me Tag...

1. I look like my litte brothers when I don't have any makeup on. Thank goodness for mascara!
2. I mowed the lawn yesterday, for the fourth time in my life, first time since being married.
3. I hate scary movies because then I always have to look behind me because I feel like someone is going to get me! So, Skylar watches them by himself and I read a book.
4. I have written in my journal everyday since the 1st of this year.
5. I have to have my toenails painted at all times.
6. I gag at the smallest things! Sometimes if you make a gagging noise, I will start gagging and eventually throw up.
7. (I added one) I can do a backflip on the trampoline, after all these years!

I tag Erin, Marlee, Camille, Kayci, Lindsey and Brittney.

My children once again...

Yesterday Slade grabbed a pair of underwear from his drawer and wanted it on his head. Skylar came home and saw him this way and asked him why he had underwear on his head. He said, "it's not underwears dad, its my birthday hat!" Who knows where he got that from and his birthday was in November... His imagination is starting to blossom.

Oh man! She is only 11 months and she already knows how to use a cellphone... Of course she always says dada when talking on it. Notice her hand? Yup, such a girl!

Slade was playing doctor with Daisy but she wouldn't let him put it in her nose, so he had to improvise. What a fun older brother he is going to be!

Marriage Advice Anyone?? Don't worry, not from me!!

I love to read books and since I have been married, I find that books about marriage is what I am drawn to. Although I believe I have a wonderful marriage, there is always room for improvement! Anyway, I was browsing the LDS section at WalMart and found Strangling Your Husband Is NOT an Option! by Merrilee Browne Boyack. I read that book in two days and it was the best book I have ever read about marriage! She is so funny and down to earth and pretty blunt. I recommend this book to EVERYONE! It was about $13 at WalMart and is $14.95 at Deseretbook.com. If you want to borrow it, let me know!

My New Ride!

My sister Kayci has been telling me that I need to post my new ride, so here it is! It is a 1997 Ford F250 Heavy Duty Crew Cab ... that's all I know. You are probably wondering why in the world I am driving such a beast, so here is the story. Skylar started the Tempe academy two weeks ago so he had to quit his job as a superindent. He sold his F150 so that we would have enough money as back up for the next few months because he won't be making as much as he did until he graduates from the academy. My father in-law has had this truck since it was brand new but also has a newer truck that he drives around and my brother in-law just bought a new truck and so this truck pretty much just sat around. So my husband had the great idea of borrowing this truck for me to drive so that he could drive my car to and from the academy to save on gas. By the way, my in-laws live in Utah, so Skylar and his cousin Brandon drove up to Utah and hauled this truck down and Skylar got it all fixed up and ready for me to drive. Well, this is the third week of me driving the beast and I have to say that I love it! I love being up high and there is tons of room in the cab and the kids enjoy seeing everything through the windows. I had to get used to parking and backing out of parking spaces, but I have gotten better! This sucker has two fuel tanks! It's awesome that I can just flip a switch and the tank is full again! This truck is only temperary, but it sure is fun! Thank you to my mother in-law who cleaned it out for me, and my brother in-law for taking off the Cowboy Mafia sticker and my father in-law for trusting me to drive it and to Brandon for taking the trip to Utah!

More Pics of the Kids

Slade watches Skylar fix things all the time and now that he has his own tool set, he can fix everything like daddy! I believe his bike "broke" about six times that day.

Daisy is such a girl. My mother in-law gave her this chair a while back and she is now big enough to sit in it. She is always doing that with her hand.

Skylar had been practicing his turn-out time at home this weekend. He has to put everything on, including his respirator and oxygen within 1 min and 40 seconds. It's hard to watch him do it because you feel like you're the one doing it and I'm always sweating by the time he's done! By the way, he's been doing under the time allowed! Yeah Skylar!

Slade and Daisy always take a bath together. They have to have lots of bubbles and they splash like crazy at eachother. Slade puts bubbles on Daisy's head and calls her Princess Daisy.

Slade and Daisy...

Daisy has recenlty realized that she can actually eat baby food without gagging! (It must be a preemie thing...) When I give her a spoonful, she will stick her hand in her mouth and then smears it all over her head. This picture doesn't even show how bad her hair looks.

Slade trying on Skylar's respirator. It was so heavy for him that it made his eyes sag. He loved how he could talk through it and sound like a monster!

Slade holding Skylar's helmet. He doesn't like to put it on because it is really heavy, but he wants to hold all the time. He says he wants to be a fireman like daddy so he can wear a helmet.

The kids and I headed over to London's Run this past weekend to take part in the activities. I didn't sign up for the run because I was absolutely not ready. But Slade saw the kids riding the bull and he kept asking me if he could ride it. I didn't think he would want to once he was up on there, but he loved it! Anyone remember Colter Bradshaw from highschool? He was manning the bull and he made sure it went really slow for my sake...

My little girl is getting so big! We put the latches on the cupboards back when we first moved it, but she has been trying her hardest to get into them. The knobs may have not been the best idea, but she loves it, and it keeps her occupied. Open, close, open, close....
