I usually hate going to the grocery store and draining my checking account with the ridiculous prices that we pay for groceries these days. BUT, I started Coupon Sense again a few weeks ago and today, I came home from the grocery store HAPPY! That doesn't happen often. It doesn't look like a lot of groceries, but wait until you see what I paid! Here's the breakdown:
Gallon Milk- $.99 each (2)
Pillsbury Brownie Mix- $.50 each (6)
Steamfresh Veggies/Rice- FREE (6)
Lawry's Marinade-$.50 (6)
Quaker Mini Cakes-FREE (3)
CapriSun Sunrise-$.77 each (3) -Little secret~if you have a coupon for these, the cashier said it will work with the regular kind as well.
Frosted Mini Wheats 24 oz-$1.37 each (3)
Angel Soft toilet paper-FREE (3 pkg. of 4 rolls)
McCormick seasonings-FREE (3)
I also bought green lettuce for $1.49 not on sale and Kroger veggie spray for $1. Total bill for everything $17.89. Saved $88.34!! I saved $25.50 of that just by using coupons. The rest was from using the Fry's VIP card. I love Fry's. They have wonderful sales, double coupons all the time, send me store coupons in the mail and you can download coupons from their website straight to your VIP card. Its amazing. I got lucky with the milk because it wasn't advertised but they are having their gallon milk $.99 each, limit 2, until Tuesday. If any of you are interested in learning about Coupon Sense, please let me know! I know Wal Mart is cheap sometimes and you can ad match, but they don't double coupons so you won't get the same savings. HAPPY SHOPPING!
