The other day Slade was playing outside and all of a sudden ran inside and told me that he had to go potty. I started walking to the bathroom to help him out, but he ran back outside yelling, "Potty in the dirt! Potty in the dirt!" I walked toward the backdoor and this is what I found... He had already pulled his underwear down and had peed in the dirt! You see, Skylar lets him do this when he is home and under his supervision but I tell Slade that he needs to go potty in the toilet when mommy helps him. I don't believe it was a good idea to let him potty outside, because he now wants to do it everywhere there is dirt or rocks. It's really a good time when he wants to pee in the grocery store parking lot.
After he was done, I asked him to put his underwear back on, and he told me, "no, mom." He stood there swinging his arms until I did it for him. We all want our children to learn to be independent but now I am thinking he has too much freedom...don't think anyone is going to want to play in our backyard after reading this.

It's a boy thing that they never grow out of. I wouldn't worry about it. Like father like son!!!!
I'm so glad you were able to capture this on camera! Slade we be grateful when he's older too!!!
That is so funny, I'm sure thats what I have to look forward to as well, he's so cute!!
Of course add us!! We live even further than the Pecans, we live in the middle no mans land!! Its fun but a little too far for my liking, hopefully just a few more years and we'll be able to sell!!
I'm a little jealous. I can't pee outside even when camping. It just turns into a big mess! Didn't need to know that, I'm sure!
That is SO hilarious. I'm glad you got pictures!
How fun to catch up with you! Your kids are BEAUTIFUL!! That is so stinkin' funny about Slade - boys will be boys indeed! Daisy is the cutest girl ever with the cutest name to match. I'll be looking for you on the road in your big ol' beast - I love that thing and am totally jealous!
it is definitely ina boys genetics to want to pee outside. I don't think that I will ever understand why its so cool but that way you don't have to worry about pee dribbles on the toilet!!
LOL. I'm thinking blackmale for when he is dating!
o, the joys of potty training!
Ha ha! That is so funny! But you are definately right, "Boys Will Be Boys!"
