Public Safety Appreciation Night!

Skylar and I had the opportunity to go to the Public Safety Appreciation Night at US Airways and watch the Arizona Rattler's take on the Utah Blaze. Although we lost, it was a lot of fun! Sorry, the pics are kind of dark...



During half time the Mesa Fire Honor Guard marched out onto the field a played a few songs. You can't help but move to the beat when those guys play!

The Mesa Police K-9 Unit showed off their skills. Those dogs are so obedient! Too bad we can't send our kids to their training school. They had a brave guy suit up and he was attacked by each dog, one at a time, and one of the dogs did not want to let go! Poor guy was sweating bullets! I tried to download the video of the attack, but it didn't work.

Some of the firefighters and police officers were able to run out onto the field with the starting guys when they were announcing their names.

Sheriff Joe made a special guest appearance. Apparently a lot of people don't like him... And he's a lot thinner than what the TV makes him look!

Me and Skylar. Although we ended up being on row 13, I still had to wear my glasses! I am so blind! You can tell Skylar was thrilled when I said, "Let's take a picture for the blog!" He's a good sport though. He had to deal with me asking, "what happened? I don't get this!" after several plays. He rolled his eyes at me a lot! :) I think I embarrassed him a lot too. I make a pretty good cheerleader!

Yeah for the Sidewinder's!! We know two of them! Tiffani (far left) and Taylor (far right). It's more fun to watch them when you know who they are.

These guys look huge when you are close up. I've never been to an NFL game, so I could only imagine the size of those guys. The game itself was really fun to watch. There was a cute little girl with Down Syndrome a couple seats over who shook the "rattle" for the WHOLE game so we came out of there with major headaches. It was also neat to see so many firefighters and police officers roaming around. I felt quite safe!
