Last Monday, Slade woke up with a barking cough and a 100.5 degree fever. I took him to the doctor and he was diagnosed with Croup. He was given a steroid and we were sent home with several instructions to get through this virus. He didn't sleep well that night and of course neither did I. Tuesday was okay, he just layed around and coughed. Tuesday night, I noticed Daisy starting to cough a little so I called the doctor and asked if she should come in because of her age. Good thing I got an early appointment because she started the barking cough and same degree of fever Wednesday morning. Off we were to the doctor again. She was given some meds and sent home. The both did pretty good all day Wednesday and we slept better that night. Thursday was a big coughing fest and Friday Slade had another fever! But this time is was only 99.3 degrees. I called the doctor to see if it was of concern and I was told that he must be teething along with this virus. Which makes sense because he has had his hands in is mouth a lot. They are both doing a lot better now, coughing occasionally but acting like themselves. I'm just waiting for Slade's two year old molars to come in, in the up coming months. I hate when my kids are sick because I feel so helpless. All I can do is hold them and tell them it's okay. My sweet babies! Slade loves holding Daisy. They both must be teething because you can see the drool on their clothes!

Okay, I'll update!!
I am so happy for my brothers first baptism! He is on his mission which is Australia Sydney South, Mandarin speaking. He spent 11 weeks in the MTC and has been in Australia for about five weeks now. He has grown up so much already. By the way, he is the one in the white with blonde hair :)
My beautiful babies! Slade loves his little sister so much. He always wants to hold her and give her kisses. He calls her 'My Daisy'.
It's my mom's birthday today so Kendyl took pictures of the grandkids for her as her gift. It goes from left, Ezra Paul, Kleven Christopher, Slade Hunter and Daisy Lynn. Ezra and Kleven are Kayci's kids. Slade and Kleven are 4 1/2 months apart and Ezra and Daisy are 1 week apart. It is really fun having kids the same age. They are going to have a lot of fun together when they get older.Posted by Stock Family at 2:04 PM 6 comments

This past week...
Okay, so I am still new at this blog stuff, so I couldn't figure out how to arrange the pictures exaclty the way I wanted them. Sorry. Nothing really exciting happened this past week, but I did take pictures of the kids. Daisy has such a contagious smile. I love it!
Daisy and Skylar playing. She loves her daddy! He is so cute with her.
Slade thinks he has to take showers too! He loves it. He thinks its the coolest thing.
Slade is watching Finding Nemo and I kept telling him to smile, but I guess he is like his father and can't hear me when the tv's o

Labor Day Weekend
Well, it was Labor Day weekend and all I can say is that we did nothing. I babysit two girls and so on Friday, I babysat and we ended up having hot dogs for dinner.
Saturday we stayed home most of the day and watched Finding Nemo and Cars over and over. On Thursday, Skylar forgot to take a pen out of his pocket and I ended up washing it and drying it with all of the colored clothes, so I told him that he gets to take me shopping for new shirts that he ruined. (And actually, if you ever get ink on your clothes, spray cheap aerosol hairspray on it and wash it again and the ink will be gone!) Anyway, so on Saturday evening he took me to Ross and I got two new shirts. He bought himself new tongs for his camping utensil bucket and we got Slade a new camo jacket. We were gonna go swimming but there was a dust storm.
On Sunday, we went to church and during Primary, Daisy decided to go poo. (She had been passing gas during sacrament and Skylar would fan her because it stunk so bad!) She is on a once a week schedule and when she goes, boy does she go! I had her lying on the changing table in the mothers lounge while I was trying to keep from passing out from the smell. I'm not kidding. I have a hard time with that kind of stuff and this week it was aweful! By Monday morning, I had changed five full diapers! She's crazy!
Then Monday, we went to visit a friend of ours who just had hip replacement surgery and Skylar had to install a toilet for him so that it would be even higher than the handicapped one he already installed. By the way, this friend is actually Skylar's friend's father who we camp and hunt with all the time. He has an inside cat, and I, being allergic to cats, was trying to conceal my scratchy throat and watery eyes. It was great fun. After visiting him, we went to my parents house to pick up the kids and they ended up falling asleep so we waited for them to have a good nap and then went home. Skylar then went and picked up a pizza (which NEVER happens) and that was pretty much it. Exciting, huh?
