I had another appointment today and the baby looks the same, no improvement in the weight department, but still going strong. She likes to sleep during the ultrasounds so the tech is always shaking my belly to make sure she really does move like I say she does. Yet, she continues to sleep until I walk out of the office! She has attitude already! I have an appointment with the specialist this Thursday, then I have the wonderful opportunity to get an amniocentesis done on Monday that will determine if her lungs are developed enough. Depending on what the specialist says and the amnio test, they will deliver her at 36 weeks, which I will be next Wednesday! I don't really know what to expect with the amniocentesis besides this:
If any of you have had this done, please let me know what the experience was like. I'm going to read up on it after I finish posting this, but I would like to know your personal stories. I've been poked so many times with needles that I'm used to it, but never in this way! I've got to say, I'm a bit nervous about the procedure. Skylar will be able to go with me, thank goodness! Although, he is not much of a comforter when it comes to "cool" stuff like this because he would rather watch than hold my hand. Wish me luck!

I'm sorry I don't have any advice for you Kari seeing that no baby has grown inside of me yet.. just know that you are in our prayers and we can't wait to see this new princess! Everything will work out, you are one tough girl (where did you get that from by the way)
Love you sis!
My sister in law just had this procedure done before she had her baby Macy 2 weeks ago. She had gestational diabetes (I probably spelled that way wrong). Anyways she had it done and it put her into labor she had just enough time to run home (she lives in Florence) tell her kids and husband lets go and when she got to the hospital she was dialated to a 4. So my advise to you would be have your bags packed and with you and your kids taken care of. Good Luck!

Just like Kendyl I don't have any advice, just wanted to let you know we are thinking of you and can't wait to see the new super cutie!!!
ugh- that's scary! and i can't believe you're having your baby before me!!
I haven't had it done either, but I also heard from my OB that there is a possiblity it could put you into labor that late in pregnancy. An earlier one just has a risk of miscarriage. Put your bag in the trunk! But I would probably get a blessing beforehand, for both baby and me, because they are poking into the uterus, for crying out loud!
yep, I have had this done... it is not bad at all! It takes like 2 seconds and just feels like any other shot! Good luck! That is exciting that you will have a little baby soon!
